# Grok Crypto Quant API

> Pay-per-call crypto quant tools for agents, paid in USDC over x402: strategy backtests and parameter optimisation on Coinbase daily candles with a survivorship-bias-free point-in-time universe, daily market signals, point-in-time top-N universes, and token contract risk checks (Base, Ethereum, Solana).

## How to pay

Paid endpoints use x402 v2 ('exact' scheme, USDC on Base mainnet). Call the endpoint; you get HTTP 402
with a base64 PAYMENT-REQUIRED header; sign the USDC authorization and retry with a PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header.
Settlement only happens after a 2xx result: a 4xx/5xx (bad input, upstream outage) is NOT charged.
Validate inputs for free first: POST /validate (backtest), POST /validate/optimize, POST /validate/token-check,
GET /validate/universe. GET /schema returns request schemas and examples for every endpoint.
Prices: backtest $0.05, signals $0.01, token-check $0.02,
optimize $0.50, universe $0.05.
Data: Coinbase Exchange daily candles (completed UTC days only) for ~400 USD pairs; refreshed daily.
Use /signals for today's regime, /token-check before touching an unknown token, /backtest to test a rule set,
/optimize to pick robust (not best-fit) parameters, /universe to avoid survivorship bias in your own backtests.
